Beer, Steer and Success

Beer, Steer, and Boogie a hit with the crowd, organizers say.

BYRON -- Nobody could have asked for a better turnout as Byron Downtown Project held its first annual Beer, Steer and Boogie on Saturday, Feb 10.

More than 60 people attended the “after five attire” event that included beer tasting, dinner and dancing. The band Redhill played an assortment of rock-n-country tunes too.

“Sixty-two people enjoyed beer tasting, dinner and dancing,” said Stacia Russell, co-chair of the Byron Downtown Project. “We were all so impressed with the band Redhill that we will for sure hire them again for future events! If you have a chance visit their website at www.redhillrocks.com."

Russell noted the following places made generous donations for the raffle:

  • 20lbs. beef/steak donated by Markley Farms
  • $20.00 Gift Certificate for Valentine Bouquet from KD's Floral
  • $175.00 value gift basket from Fit n' Finish Gym including one month tanning for two people
  • Signed Gordie Howe (Detroit Red Wings) framed and signed picture and hockey puck donated by the Samuel Adams Distributor

She also expressed thanks to all those who attended – and can't wait for next year.
