Charles had 4 children, John, Anna, Ida and Emogene. In 1898, he had the
brick building south of the present bank, built using brick from the
Brick Kiln south of Byron that was owned and operated by Fred Meier who
was a son of August and Fredericka Meier. The brick cost $7.00 per
thousand. Ida Fritz married Lewis Campbell who owned and operated a
restaurant and patent medicine store. They were the parents of Bud
Campbell.
